Celebrating Cultural Diversity through Dance, Song and Music

Come and celebrate the Multicultural Festival of Griffith on the 15th of October 2016 at Memorial Park, Banna Avenue from 10:30am-3:30pm It will showcase a vibrant celebration of cultures through dance, music, food, games and performances. This year we are having a fashion parade, Italian choir ad a piano accordion group to add up to the line of activities that we have. Let's unite and bring along our family and friends to a fun festival this year.
Tech Savvy Seniors Training
This is an opportunity for seniors from the Dari, Hindi, Italian community and later for the Islander community to learn basic computer skills to enrich them. This is free and a partnership between Multicultural Council of Griffith and Griffith City Library. The lessons will be free. All the course are 4 week duration - 2 hours per week. iPads will be provided for lessons. If you are interested call 0412811343 or City Library on 69622515.

Farewelling the Pacific Islands scheme workers
The Seasonal Worker Programme contributes to the economic development of participating countries by providing access to work opportunities in the Australian agriculture and accommodation industries. The Seasonal Worker Programme offers seasonal labour to employers in the agricultural industry, and employers in selected locations in the accommodation industry who can’t meet their seasonal labour needs with local jobseekers. Participating countries include Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
